The Brampton Thunder of the NWHL bounced back from a 2-0 first period deficit to defeat the Bonaventure Wingstar, also of the NWHL, by a score of 5-2, capturing the Women's Senior AAA Central Canadian Championship. The Central Canadian Championship took place from April 23rd to April 25th at the Jim Durell Complex in Ottawa, Ontario. In the AA division, the Newtonbrook Panthers (affiliate of the NWHL's Mississauga Chiefs) won the gold medal by defeating Shack Cafe/Axiom 5-4 in a game that was tied on four different occasions.
