Being a typical Canadian (eh?), I love hockey! I'm interested in all hockey, but specifically in women's hockey. My best beloved, Andria Hunter, played on the Canadian National Team in 1992 and 1994, where she won two gold medals! She currently plays for the Mississauga Icebears in the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL), and is the creator of the premier web site on women's hockey, The Women's Hockey Web.
I volunteered for the NWHL as statistician, from 1992 to 2000, and maintained the league's web site at http://www.whockey.com/nwhl. It's the highest level of hockey for women in Ontario and Québec, and perhaps the world, as many current and former Team Canada, Team USA, Team Finland, Team Switzerland, Team France and Team Japan members play in this league. And if you're interested in some translations of French/English hockey terms, here's a little list I put together.
