Meetings Relevant to HCI

This report includes a comprehensive listing of conferences, symposia, and workshops related to computer human interaction. The six major sources of these are:

[ACM SIGCHI conferences] [ACM Digital Library] [IEEE Digital Library]

[BayCHI calendar] [HCIBIB] [HCI RN conferences]

 The oldest meetings are from 1998. New meetings announcements and old meeting proceedings become available regularly so some relevant meetings are missing.

A Framework for the Meetings

The framework for organizing the meetings was arrived at by:

    1- clustering the existing meetings into topics;

    2- examining various ways of structuring the content of the discipline of HCI found by investigating links found on the ACM SIGCHI Education website;

    3- choosing the framework set out by the ACM SIGCHI Curriculum Development Group;

    4- inserting the clustered categories into the framework;

    5- organizing the information in a table with other relevant information.

The figure above graphically shows the framework. The multiple table of mmetings below contains the meeting information within the HCI framework. Each meeting entry includes:

1- clickable month and year for most recent online papers, if available online (* means ACM or IEEE membership required);

2- clickable month and year for most recent announcement, if available (Recent);

3- brief name and description of meeting (Meeting);

4- affiliations, if any (Affiliation).
