The Software Visualization Project examines the use of visualization and auralization techniques to enhance the ability of writers, readers, and users of computer programs to understand their function, structure, and method of operation. The project group has been investigating software visualization's role in professional programming as well as its use in education. Current research focuses on the development of debugging and visualization tools in LCSI Microworlds Logo and has led to the enhancement of this Logo programming environment for use in an experimental computer literacy course.
