Since joining the Hart House Orchestra at the University of Toronto, I can now say that I have performed across the continent since learning to play the viola in fifth grade. I have had the opportunity to play in groups such as the Penn Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony Civic Orchestra, and Metropolitan Youth Symphony. I was also in the pit orchestra for student productions of Peter Pan, Oklahoma! and Spindrift. Despite playing all the time and even attending music camp for so many summers, solo performance is not my forté; I am grateful for the patience, inspiraiton and guidance of my teachers Shanda Lowery-Sachs and David Yang that have helped shape me into the violist that I am today.

While I have played softball, baseball, tennis, volleyball and swam/dove growing up, soccer is my real love. My mom signed me up against my wishes in first grade, but after 12 years of practices and camps, shutouts and shootouts, victories and losses, I'll never look back. I still love playing sports or even watching them, especially when it comes to family tradition.
