PhD Research
I am interested in how the amount of functionality included in a software
package impacts the user's ability to learn and use the package.
The sharp increase in functionality over the past decade or so has led to
the terms featurism and bloated software.
I am focussing my research on general
productivity applications such as Lotus Notes, Lotus SmartSuite, and Microsoft
Office.
